Project Manus - MIT's effort to upgrade our makerspaces and foster maker communities.  MIT has long been a leading example of how to integrate 'making' on campus.  Maintaining this leadership requires adaptation of new technology, tools, training and means of improving access for students.  Project Manus is leading MIT's efforts to:

  • Upgrade legacy spaces/equipment
  • Introduce new technologies
  • Create new campus makerspaces, and
  • Foster maker communities
  • Collaborate with peer universities, alumni, government & industry.

If you are a first year MIT student looking for more information on our MakerLodge program, please visit the MakerLodge homepage or find out more information in the Students section of this website. MakerLodge training is open to all first year MIT students and is an extracurricular, peer-to-peer maker skills training facility and community. It does not change your unit load. Learn introductory maker technologies in the MakerLodge, MIT's fast-track maker training program for freshmen.
